Thank You

Yesterday was my 18th birthday! Normally I despise a holiday birthday. However this year, I got not one but TWO birthday surprises: lunch and dinner. Which makes me a very lucky and appreciative girl. Thank you Avery <3

We ate lots of Italian food with my twenty favorite people. Pretty much a perfect night. I love my people.

And of course what day is complete without blog photographfying?

At a 9 to 5 pace

It has been a rollercoaster week. Very lowlike lows and very uppity ups. Things are good now though, very good.

The following pictures are from yesterday and yes I know, I look exhausted. I blame the poor lighting at 5 >< I just finished making the skirt which USED to be an teeshirt that was made out of thick cotton and that I never wore but sorta liked the white text on. So I cut off the sleeves and re-sewed it. I'm a firm believer in DIY.

Much love to everyone who comments, it makes my day!

Trouble Is A Friend of Mine

I got up super early this morning and went with my mommy to volunteer at this charity organization that goes through thrift store type stuff and sells it. Not only do I get to help raise money for a children's hospital, but I get first pick of all of the goodies that they are going to sell. Didn't find too much today, a sweater and a knit top, but it was still fun.

I've been listening to Lenka all day and that's why this outfit is so nauseatingly girly. She's ridiculously adorable.

There was about 10 minutes where the lighting on the side of my house actually existed. Except it was in blotchy patches because of weird angles of my fence. So I worked around it. And I sorta like how it came out.

Perfectly Fine

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend. I am so full of asian takeout. Yum.
I got to see a couple of friends that I hadn't seen in months so that was nice. I also saw Twilight. He he. I admit that it was a trainwreck but hey, Edward had some nice outfits in there and well, who can resist a well-dressed boy?

In the wee hours of Sunday morning (10:30) my friend Bekki (who has the most amazing collection of sweaters and won best style in our high school pop polls!!) and I trooped over to the fields behind our high school campus for her photography project. I discovered how much certain types of leaves hurt to sit on and that if a creepy guy who is talking a walk, suddenly stops and waits for you to start walking away and then proceeds to trail after you for about 10 minutes, it's probably a good idea to whip out the cellphone and start yammering loudly about karate and strong boyfriends. Anyway, thanks Bekki, hope your photo teacher gives you an A on your project :]
