HeadFirst, Fearless

Blargh. I'm starting to remember why I hate holidays. I shall be spending my Thanksgiving in my usual custom. Rewatching all of the old Thanksgiving episodes from my favorite tv shows and eating chinese takeout. Sounds pathetic and most likely is, but is surprisingly fun!

That's When The Energy Comes

This is what happens when Anan procrastinates taking her photos until it is very very dark and she feels like prancing about.

Hee.

No Capes!

I'm finally learning how to sew properly! Meaning using a sewing machine! It's about time.
I spent today eating trader joe's oatmeal and working on the boyfriend's birthday pressie. Eee!

I also found the most magnificently soft felt capelet the other day. I've sort of always had an obsession with capes. I blame it on Lord of the Rings.

With Nothing But Your T-shirt On

To those of you who have averted their eyes because of the title, do not worry! The title is a lie! I am fully clothed, well, by my standards. This title is also a lie because my boyfriend does not actually own a T-shirt. Well. Maybe one.

Shredding teeshirts. Basically my new favorite thing. It is scarily addictive and awesome. There is something extremely calming about the repetitive motion of ripping something apart. Everyone should try it.

Also because it's a Monday, have some eyecandy. Girls should not be allowed to use their boyfriends as models. Good thing we don't care.

Trains And Winter Rains

I tend to disgust myself. A lot. Today I basically did every disgustingly girly thing. The most horrible of which was watching Love Actually in a nest of pillows and blankets with newly baked brownies. I may have even cried. Multiple times. Hee.

So the holiday season has officially begun. I usually hate the holidays. Yes yes, I am one of those. I feel like it's all hype and expectations are always so damn high and unreasonable. But I'm sort of actually looking forward to it this year. Probably because of the special television show holiday episodes. Just kidding (probably not). Plus, I have developed a craving for eggnog.

I don't believe in Daylight Savings. It tends to trip me up a lot. So instead of letting it be a source of confusion come November, I use it for my advantage. For example, right now my cellphone may read 7:06.. but because my cellphone is for today, buried under my pillow (although on max volume so I don't end up ignoring calls..) I go by my computer time, which says 8:06. Then, at some point today when I am running out of time for something, whether it be procrastination, or I simply want to watch yet another episode of Buffy, I gift myself with an extra hour. Yes.. I know I have problems.

Also, GASP no headband? I know I know. I surprised myself as well.

Also, if the boyfriend wants brownies tomorrow, he should probably stop thinking he is hilarious when he calls me just to spoil this week's eliminee on America's Next Top Model.

Paint It Black

No three words are more beautiful than "chance of thunderstorms." Well okay that's not true but you get my point.

In the process of getting these pictures, I got made fun of by my father who thinks I am crazy for taking pictures in the rain. I probably am. Crazy, that is.

In about a week or two of this weather, I will most probably be tired of it, but for now, it is amazing. I've made a sort of nest around my desk and dragged pillows and mugs of tea over. With most of the stress of college apps gone (finished with all of the essays that require originality and thought, filling out stupid information online, and teacher reccs, however the nailbiting overall stress about getting into college is by no means over and won't be for a couple of months now) it's nice to be able to curl up and do things like shred teeshirts and watch How I Met Your Mother without feeling guilty about not being productive.

Oh and mostly why the blog was on a mini-hiatus was because I sort of dropped my old camera and it was sad and decided to be broken. I also haven't had the time or been in the mood to take pictures. But I'm back for good. A lot has changed since my last actual post the most shallow of which is my haircut. I just needed a change and got really annoyed with the longish layers so I took scissors to it and chopped. I'm pretty sure I like it. It's much easier to style and more fun to play with.

I'm almost done with my dress that I made from a pair of jeans and will be posting pictures of that soon. I wrote a college essay about this dress. Hee. So not getting into college.
